WILDLIFE SOS is a conservation non-profit, initially set up with the aim of rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife in distress in India. Credited with ending the barbaric dancing bear trade that had plagued the country and depleted wild sloth bear populations for over 400 years, Wildlife SOS rescued and rehabilitated over 620 sloth bears from the trade and rehabilitated the Kalandar community that depended on the bears for their livelihood.
