Answer by Shekar Dattatri, Conservation India.
Studying about animals is different from studying animals. There are plenty of books and internet resources available to learn about wildlife from around the world. However if you want to study animals for a career, you will first need to get yourself trained as a wildlife biologist. The National Centre for Biological Sciences in Bangalore offers a Masters in Conservation Biology that is open to people from non-science backgrounds. Gorillas are not found in India and can be found in the wild only in Central Africa. They have been extensively studied and a google search will reveal reams of material on them.
