The third edition of WCY is being hosted in Mumbai on 6 June 2015. The conference will be a 1-day event, featuring a diverse set of speakers from across India.
The intent, as with previous editions, is to facilitate a platform to connect with and understand the nuances across various topics in conservation. Attendees will be able to go back with a better understanding of the topics and use these sessions to identify specific avenues for their own involvement in conservation.
Highlights from the agenda featuring the following topics and speakers:
1. Keynote address by Vivek Menon, CEO of WTI
2. Wildlife crime and enforcement by Nitin Desai of the Wildlife Protection Society of India,
3. Challenges to conservation and how you can contribute by Prerna Bindra of BAGH Foundation
4. Visual media in conservation by Green Oscar winner Rita Banerji of Dusty Foot Productions
5. Grassroots conservation by Kedar Gore of The Corbett Foundation.
Registrations for WCY 2015 are now open, and students can avail a 50 per cent discount on the registration fee of INR1000/-.
