Volunteers Required to Protect Forests — Mumbai, 10th March 2013

This year Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 10th March 2013.
Forest & Wildlife Conservation Centre (FWCC), in association with the Forest Department, calls upon volunteers to help monitor and tackle the large number of devotees that swarm SGNP and Tungareshwar WLS for the celebrations. Inflammable material and plastics will be confiscated from visitors at the entry gates. The visitors will be prevented from wandering into the forest as well. A strict vigil will be kept for forest fires, and necessary action taken at the earliest, if required.
FWCC requests higher participation in Tungareshwar WLS & Yeur range of SGNP. Any monetary contribution towards the program would be appreciated too.
