The National Board of Wildlife (NBWL) appointed Aziz Committee is due to submit its report on the reduction of the size of the Kolleru Wildlife Sanctuary from the countour+5 to contour+3. The committee has been interacting with both fishing communities and green activists. The sanctuary has seen a revival of aquaculture in the contour+5. As of November 2010, the forest department has filed 236 cases relating to the revival of pisciculture in the sanctuary area. Both stakeholders are anxiously waiting for the reports conclusions.
